Philosophy Club

David's The Death of Socrates

The Philosophy Club exists to enable students with special interests in philosophy to get together with other students who share those interests. Students can expect the level of involvement generated in informal club meetings to equal or surpass that of their favorite philosophy class, but without the worry about grades and term papers!

Topics discussed depend upon interest among students involved. Topics in the past have ranged from covering the particular views of a given philosopher to a special topic in philosophy. Students interested in starting up the Philosophy Club, or knowing when and where the next club meeting will take place, should contact the club's faculty advisor or department faculty member.

The Philosophy Club is a registered student organization. All philosophy and religious studies majors, as well as interested non-majors, are welcome to join in. There are no dues, though duplicating readings may be necessary for discussions.
